Delta Airlines recently announced the addition of four new US air routes that will change flying to Cancun in a major way. Beginning in 2011, San Antonio (TX), Austin (TX), Columbus (OH), and Tampa (Fl) will all offer regular flight service into Cancun International Airport.

Flights from the four cities are scheduled to begin on February 19, 2011. According to several news sources, routes will include Saturday service. Tickets are set to go on sale through Delta's website August 21. The aircraft to be used for most routes will be the MD-88, which seats 142 passengers. Flight availability should break down as 14 first class seats and 128 economy seats.

Another exciting development in airline news includes Jet Blue's “All You Can Fly” monthly pass. Last year, Jet Blue offered a similar special for $599. However, this year's installment gives the consumer two options for the “All You Can Fly” monthly pass. The first will run $699 and allow flying seven days a week. The second is a weekday only flying pass and costs $499. The passes are already available for purchase and booking to any of the 60 cities Jet Blue services (including Cancun) begins August 23.
